Ted X Tottenham
The Ted X Tottenham team held the 2019 event at the Bernie Grant art centre, on the theme of Placemaking, and what that could means for Tottenham. I was invited by the team to create an interactive installation which would help engage the community in the themes of the talks and to share ideas on how concepts around the often nebulous theme of placemaking could be employed to truly work for the needs of the Tottenham community. The result was a paper installation to which I invited the attendees to come and share their own insight on the needs of the community, and what we could collectively be doing to tackle those needs and issues. I was joined by Cath Colour Carver from Colour your City, in delivering the exhibition and the response was really interesting. Attendees came forwards with so many ideas and insights, and were able to use the installation as a talking point to share about how their own practices could work collaboratively locally on the issues at hand.
