The Defiant
This project was in partnership with the George Padmore Institute, Haringey Vanguard, and funded by Haringey Council.
Haringey has an incredibly rich history of intersectional POC (people of colour) LGBTQ+ activism, which is largely unknown to the general public. This project invited everyone and anyone to learn about that history themselves by searching the Bruce Castle and George Padmore Institute archives, and developing creative responses which were then shared and discussed in an event at the end of the project.
